Kennedy Hocker

Kennedy Hocker was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and is currently a senior at University of California, Berkeley pursuing a bachelor of the arts degree in Film and Media Studies.
Prior to her time at Berkeley, last year Kennedy was chosen to be a fellow in the second cohort of the CBS Studios Leadership Pipeline Challenge which is a nonprofit-focused short film competition that empowers early-career changemakers to step into creative leadership positions for a good cause. Kennedy served as an Associate Producer on a short film called, “Colorful Minds” which was for the non-profit organization, Painted Brain whose mission is to use art advocacy to create lasting solutions in mental health.
At school, Kennedy currently serves as a producer in their Studios department Berkeley’s media organization, CalTV. She also sits on the advisory board for the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, and serves on the student film committee for Berkeley’s Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive.
Lastly, outside of school she also served as an Ambassador for the organization One Girl by raising money and awareness for girls to have equal access to education in Sierra Leone.
Kennedy is excited to combine her love for storytelling with her passion for addressing global issues to the Climate Cardinals team.
