Steps for Prospective Volunteers
Sign Up
If you are under 35 years old, sign up to become a volunteer above! Note that you must be 18 years of age or older to become a translator. If you would like to join our core teams, please click here.
Get an intro email
Wait for an introduction email that will onboard you. Due to the current times, this process may take 1-2 weeks.
Join our program platform
The email sent to you will include a link to our platform for you to join if you selected Chapters, Translators, or Ptera.
(Steps 4-5 For Translators Only)
4. Submit for Approval
After translating, submit your document through the translation platform. This will then be reviewed by our leads and expert translators for accuracy.
5. Log time
Log the amount of time that you spent translating articles using our service hour spreadsheet template and send an email to your lead for hours.

SERVICE HOURS
We can provide certified volunteer service hours for our translators!
Language Leads’ service hours will be based on how many documents they translate, how many documents they proofread, and how long they spend mentoring/supervising the Student Translators.
Student translators will gain service hours based on the number of words they translate. For every piece of information, the potential number of hours will be shown. We will average roughly around 200 words/service hour.
